THE BRIEF

A Palo Alto house planned around a long cantilevered roof, with modern textures, warm wood tones, and stone floors throughout.

THE DESIGN

A spacious kitchen, elegant bathrooms, and a serene pool surrounded by drought-resistant landscaping. Cedar soffits carry from the ceilings out over the terrace, so the roof plane reads as one line from inside to out, and board-formed concrete grounds it.
